KARAWANG, September 11th - Junaidi Ibrahim finally was able to realize his desire to become champion again. This year, the Indonesian Golf Tour presented by Linc Group Series VI title, held at the LotusLakes Golf Club in Karawang. is going to the man from Aceh. With great determination and remarkable patience, Junaidi could surpass defending champion George Gandranata, who kept a close fight during the 18 holes to loose by a margin of one stroke.
Junaidi and George started with the same score of one-under par, playing in the last group. "Honestly at the beginning of the game today, I actually think Mr. Maan (Maan Nasim, who was 2 strokes behind) will win," said Junaidi. Playing in a group with defending champion George also provided its own pressure for Junaidi. "I also saw George play very thorough and it was very difficult to find a gap to attack. Therefore, I tried to stay calm today and play relaxed," he added.
Junaidi's confidence began to rise after scoring a long birdie putt on hole 5. From there his game began to change, more daring. Junaidi and George both posted even par on the first nine holes. Their scores were both still at one-under par, where they were joined by Ditya Novianto who enlivened the competition by carding the same score.
Junaidi success began with a birdie on hole 12, followed by birdies on the next two holes. With three birdies in a row. Junaidi was still on top of the leaderboard with a total score while a four-under par, while George was still at one-under par. Ditya dropped out of the competition after posting three consecutive bogeys on holes 14, 15, and 16,
Then Junaidi tripped on hole 16 with a bogey and with a par at 17, he is at three-under-under before the final hole, while George reduced the difference with a birdie at holes 17, going to two-under par. Both players were determined at hole 18. The spectators who were present at the final round predicted a playoff would happen.
However, when George's ball entered the water on the par 5 hole 18, that prediction was dispersed. Unfortunately, Junaidi did not utilize this opportunity properly. Although successfully crowned champion, the 36-year-old man closed the game with a bogey, which resulted in a score of 71 (total score of 214). George had to settle for second place with a score of 215 after finishing the game with a score of 72.
"During the whole round I held strong. On hole 18 when the ball from George entered the water, I felt relaxed at that time. However, when I tried to approach the 18th green I shot it over and into the bunker. From there I began to stress. I was lucky to win. This is proof that I am still a champion," said Junaidi. For the winner of the Matoa Pro Championship in 2004, the Pro-Am Jagorawi 2004, and Mercedes-Benz Emeralda Golf Tournament 2010, the IGT Series VI title turned into a birthday present for his beloved child on September 9 and wife on September 10.
For the second time, George failed to win the title, and only managed second place. While at IGT Series II losing to Ian Andrew, this time George had to recognize the excellence of seniors. Nevertheless, the 29-year-old man was not disappointed with the result today.
"I've tried hard today. I played better and my game has been according to plan. Pak June (Junaidi Ibrahim) played well, and deserved this victory. My game started to change when he (Junaidi) birdied with a ;ong putt," said George.
With two more IGT events, Series VII and the Grand Finale, George is optimistic he can win at least one championship. Even if he is ultimately unsuccessful, he's taking many positive lessons during this 2015 season. "Although this is a down year for me, the positive is that I can still compete to be in the top 10, even top 5. And it calms my mind," said the winner of the PGA Tour Order of Merit of Indonesia in 2014.
The third position is occupied Ian Andrew who collected a total score of 216 (even par), while Ditya Novianto finished fourth with 217 (one-over par)

Generational Clash Atop Of The Leaderboard At IGT @ LotusLakes
KARAWANG, September 10 - LotusLakes Golf Club is once again turning into a nightmare for the participants of the Indonesian Golf Tour presented by Linc Group Series VI. Narrow fairways and extensive but difficult to read greens meant the participants had to work hard to achieve good scores, including Junaidi Ibrahim.
Atop the leaderboard with a score of four-under par (68) the day before, Junaidi struggled to remain in the elite group. Today he played poorly with a score of 75 (three-over par). "Today I carried a little bit of a burden. From the moment I arrived and started practicing my driving, my shots already felt uncomfortable. My mood also was uneasy. Other parts of my game were no problem. But, if the drive is no good, and my ball goes into the forest, it is difficult to recover."
Luckily, Junaidi remained in the top position with a score of one-under par (143). He shared the spot with George Gandranata who today looked slick. Junaidi is still optimistic that he can achieve good results in the last round. "Tomorrow my goal is to be champion. It's been a long time I did not become a champion," the 36-year-old golfer stressed.
Meanwhile, George became one of only two golfers were able to record a score under par in the second round. Scoring 71 (one-under par), the 27-year-old was immediately propelled to the top of the leaderboard of the Indonesian Golf Tour presented by Linc Group Series VI, together with Junaidi. "Actually, my game is not much different from yesterday. In addition to hitting my driver better today, I was more confident with my shots and putted well," he explained.
The fight between Junaidi and George at the top of the leaderboard was interesting because it represents the rivalry between big and little brother or senior and junior. Not only that, they're closely followed by their senior, Maan Nasim, who is only one shot behind. The 55-year-old veteran golfer was still eager to become champion. "From the outset I want to play here (Indonesian Golf Tour Series VI) because I want to win! Hopefully I can if I'm still in excellent physical condition tomorrow, and luck is with me. What I rely on is; I still can have fun in my game. I measure from my ability, my shots are not what they used to be. I participate to seek victory, but on the other hand I also want to exert pressure in the game," said Maan.
Right behind Maan, Junaidi, and George, the juniors are ready to surprise. They are Ditya Novianto in 4th position with a total score of 144 (one-over par), as well as Rinaldi Adiyandono, Ian Andrew, and Asep Saefulloh in a tie for 5th position with 145 (two-over par).

First Day Of IGT @ LotusLakes Belongs To The Veterans
The "Veteran" Show Superiority
KARAWANG, September 9 - The first round of the Indonesian Golf Tour presented by Linc Group Series VI belonged to the veterans. with Junaidi Ibrahim, Sanusi, Maan Nasim, and Sarmilih, who all already play in the national professional golf arena for more than 15 years, vying to win the tournament with total prizes of 200 million at the LotusLakes Golf Club, Karawang. The four were perched in the top four sports of the leaderboard.
Junaidi, who is now 36-year-old, posted a score of 68 (four-under par), and sits atop the leaderboard.
Having played even par on the first nine holes (with two birdies against two bogeys), Junaidi's position continued to move to the top position after four birdies on holes 10, 12, 16, and 18. "Today was very satisfying. I learned today to play disciplined and keep control of my emotions. Because I kept control of my emotions, I controlled the game very well," said the golfer who had several times won national professional tournaments, including the Matoa Pro Championship in 2004, the Pro-Am Jagorawi 2004, and Mercedes-Benz Emeralda Golf Tournament 2010.
Facing the second round, Junaidi sure can maintain his current position. "As preparations for tomorrow basically I want more discipline and control my emotions well. I believe in skill, just need to keep the emotion," he explained. While in the lead, the golfer from Aceh was just three strokes ahead of his seniors, Maan (55 years), Sanusi (46 years), and Sarmilih. The three golfer scored 71 (one-under par), and are in a tie for second place.
George Gandranata, Asep Saefulloh, and Abhinawa Safari trailed their elders with a score of even par (72). George who started the game on the 10th tee was holding on to a score of one-under par until his 117th hole, before making a bogey on hole 9 which closed the game for the day.
The 2014 Order of Merit winner of the PGA Tour of Indonesia did not show his best performance as in last season. He is still looking for a first title in 2015. "This year was a down year for me. At least I tried to chase victory. My target is to get a win, I long to be able to get the victory. Greg Norman says 'You do not appreciate success until you taste failure'," he said.
However, George saw the positive side of the IGT competition this season. "I guess that between my game is not good or the competition becoming increasingly better. it is a combination of the two. I think this is good. Nice because I see more and more scores under par and this is something that proves that the Indonesian Golf Tour has a very positive impact," added the defending champion of IGT @ LotusLakes 2014.
Meanwhile, Asep must be satisfied with his score today because of his own mistakes. "I played calm today, but I made mistakes on the greens of hole 9 and hole 14. I made three-putts on these holes. Indeed, my putting was the problem," said Asep, who already was at one-under par until hole 12, but stumbled to a bogey on hole 14.
"Learning from today's game I need to improve my putting. That was my main problem. I need to learn to read the greens better," he said.

Amateur golfer Elky Kow scored his best achievement to date in this third leg of IGT 2015. Four Lead After Second Day of IGT @ PG Halim II
JAKARTA, 28 May 2015 - The fight for the top spot got tighter on the second day of the third round of the Indonesian Golf Tour at Padang Golf Halim II. Four players, representing different generations, all lead with an accumulated score of 143 (1 under par). They are Maan Nasim, Asep Saefulloh, Ian Andrew, and amateur golfer Elky Kow.
Maan, born 4 February 1960, played brilliantly on the second day. By scoring 69 he managed to improve his game from the first day when he scored of 74. Remarkably, the veteran golfer scored three birdies without a bogey.
"My putting today is not good. There were three holes in which I failed to score a birdie with a putt as far as only one meter distance. But, this time I play to win," he said.
However, he had to work hard to realize that ambition. The former Indonesia's number one golfer acknowledges that his physical condition was not as fit as before. "The only obstacle for me is just stamina. It's quite tiring for me to walk as far as 18 holes," he explained.
Although managing to stay atop the standings, two of the top three on the leaderboard the day before, Ian Andrew and Asep Saefulloh, struggled to maintain their performance today. Ian, who yesterday played 69, close the game with a 74, while Asep posted 73.
Ian admitted he played poorly on the second day, especially his iron shots. "Fortunately my chipping helped my game today," said the golfer who was born 24 July 1992.
Ian is still optimistic that he can get away from the pressure, even with more competitors for the top spot. "I'm in a tied position with three other golfers. It provides pressure for me. But I usually just play well when there is pressure," said the only Indonesian golfer who made the cut in the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters presented by Enjoy Jakarta last April.
Meanwhile, Asep was quite satisfied with today's game. "However, my putting was very poor today with an average of two putts per hole," said the golfer who was born 8 July 1982. Despite being in a condition of not physically fit, Asep motivated himself by the game shown by his opponents. "Looking at the scoreboard, I got immediately excited. Playing with great players put pressure on me. However, this just makes me more spirited," he added.
Elky was able to keep his game level on the second day. Scoring even par was enough to for the amateur golfer to rise to the top position, along with three professional golfers. "I started badly today. The first four holes I scored five-over-par and it's very disturbing. I was emotional with my game. However, I am aware of this and try to get my game back," said the golfer born 8 September 1994.
After evaluating the game for two days, Elky will change his strategy. "For tomorrow's game, the strategy must change. I will try to play as best as possible," he added.
The position of the four golfers who are in T-1 position is far from secure. Rinaldi Adiyandono and Agusnam are one shot back in a tie for 5th with a score of 144, followed closely by Rudi Anto with a score of 145.

Indra Hermawan Leads After First Day At Halim II
Jakarta, 27 May 2015 - The 3rd round of the 2015 season of the Indonesian Golf Tour (IGT) is on at Padang Golf Halim II, with a total purse of 200 million. The tournament, held from May 27 to 29, sees a total of 102 golfers, 20 of whom have amateur golfer status, participate in this national professional golf series, that goes into its second year in 2015.
Indra Hermawan was the surprise leader at the end of the first day, after posting six birdies combined with two bogeys for a total score of 68 (4 under par). "My A game was starting to show at the last seven holes. Because there was encouragement to play fast from the marshal, I got into a fast tempo game with no time no doubt," he said.
Indra admitted that his score today was supported by everything from his long- to his short game. "My drives are nice and straight, my irons pretty good, and my putting was nice," said Indra. For the second day, Indra asserted that he had to aim for a low score in order to strengthen its position at the top. "Preparing for tomorrow, I have to play my best and score many birdies," he added.
But Indra's position is far from secure., as Ian Andrew is only one stroke (stroke) behind Indra. Though the golfer from Bali acknowledged that the condition of the pitch is good enough, his game on the green was messy. "The greens are becoming a problem for me," said the winner of the second round of the 2015 IGT.
The small difference in scores makes Ian optimistic he can chase Indra. He's ambitious to score consecutive titles after winning the IGT second eound in February. "My target this time is to become champion. I hope this could provide a boost for me to be able to play well in the Asian Development Tour tournament in Bali in June," he explained.
Threatening Indra's position is also Asep Saefulloh. The golfer from Bandung posted a score of 2 under par (70). He said that this is pay off for his hard work after his poor performances at CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters. "After the CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters I realized that my iron game is bad. Back in Bandung I immediately worked on improving my long iron shots. Today I was very confident with my game," said the champion of the 2010 West Java Governor Cup Amateur Golf Tournament.
Elky Kow, one of 20 amateur golfers in the tournament, was able to nestle himself in the top five of the standings. With a score of 71 (1 under par) Elky is in a tie for fourth, sharing this place with two professional golfers, Maman Suherman and Agusnam. "My game today is quite good. Only the last ten hole went not so well. At yesterday's practice round I felt that I had to play brave in my short games," he said.
Looking forward to the match tomorrow, Elky does not prepare a special strategy. "I will rest as much as possible for tomorrow. I will do the same as today and we'll see what happens later," he added.

Leading scores after the first round:
68 - Indra Hermawan
69 - Ian Andrew
70 - Asep Saefulloh
71 - Elky Kow (A), Maman Suherman, Agusnam
72 - Mahpudin, Fajar Win Nuryanto

Gandranara Takes The Lead In Second Round Of Indonesian Golf Tour At Padang Golf Modern
Tangerang, 11th June 2014 - George Gandranata signed off on a perfect score without bogey in the second round of the Indonesian Golf Tour at Padang Golf Modern. With six-under-par, George successfully compiled a total score of seven-under-par (137) to take the lead in round two of the Indonesian Golf Tour fifth series.
“My irons are great since yesterday and I'm playing really well today. I scored 6 birdies, no bogey. I hit it really close on a lot of holes. I sunk a lot of putts too. There is one hole where I sunk a 10 meter putt. The green at Padang Golf Modern is hard to read, you have to hit it close to the pin to score a birdie,” said George. “I still have 18 holes to go tomorrow. I can’t control what others do but I can control myself. My strategy will be the same as always. Hope my putts will drop like today in the final round tomorrow. We’ll see,” added George.
Chasing from third place, I Ketut Sugiarta signed in a total six-under-par (138) to tie with overnight leader, Maan Nasim, who played one-under-par in round two and dropped to second place. George Gandranata Misses Win By One Shot, Jordan Irawan Tenth At Jakarta Invitational
Jakarta, January 11 - Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert savored a memorable week at the inaugural Linc Group Jakarta Invitational when he shot a one-under-par 70 to claim a maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) victory on Saturday.
American James Bowen, Malaysia’s Iain Steel and Canadian Lindsay Renolds were also rewarded with 2014 Asian Tour cards after finishing inside the top-four of the final 2013 ADT Order of Merit, topped by Malaysia’s Nicholas Fung, who had already secured his card through the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit.
Indonesia'stop player Rory Hie (72) finished in 8th position, while Indonesian amateur Jordan Irawan managed to get back in a share of tenth place with a final round 71.
Pavit, one of the most promising stars to emerge from Thailand, compiled a four-day total of nine-under-par 275 for a one-shot victory over Japan’s Mitsuhiko Hashizume and joint overnight leader, George Gandranata of Indonesia. They closed with rounds of 68 and 71 respectively at the Jababeka Golf and Country Club.
England’s Grant Jackson, who needed a victory to break into top four on the ADT merit list, settled for fourth on 277 while Chan Shih-chang of Chinese Taipei battled to a 69 to finish fifth at the US$60,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event, which is the season finale for the 2013 ADT schedule.
Pavit, who turned professional in 2007, reveled in delight after clinching his first professional win outside of Thailand. The victory also moved him up to seventh on the final ADT rankings after winning US$10,500 and earning six Official World Golf Ranking points.
“I never thought I could win. It is my first professional win outside of Thailand. George played really well this week. I think I was just luckier than him. My three birdies in the front nine gave me an advantage,” said the 24-year-old.
“My game is good right now. I hope I can play well at the King’s Cup Golf Hua Hin (on the Asian Tour) next week as well. If I can get a good finish, I would not have to go to Qualifying School. I’m looking forward to it and we will see how it goes,” added Pavit.
Despite missing out on a win, Gandranata remained optimistic that his first career victory will come soon. This week’s event has prepared him for the Asian Tour Qualifying School in Thailand next month.
“It was a good week for me. This is my first time being in the lead on the ADT. I stuck to my plan all week. I only made three bogeys in total so I’m happy with how I played. I could’ve done a lot of things better but this would be a good experience for me,” said the 27-year-old, who traded two birdies against two bogeys today.
After a season long battle on the burgeoning ADT, Bowen, Steel and Renolds are relishing the opportunity of playing on the region’s premier Tour.
Bowen compiled a season’s haul of US$39,824 to finish second on the Order of Merit and hopes the experience of playing on the ADT will prepare him for tough test against the Asian Tour stars in the new season.
“The ADT has been a great stepping stone for me. I gained world ranking points and it helped put me on the world map as well. It has been great playing on the ADT in 2013. I’m really excited now that I’ve got my card. I can’t wait to play on the Asian Tour,” said Bowen, who claimed two victories on the ADT in 2013.
Malaysia’s Steel, who finished tied 33rd at the Linc Group Jakarta Invitational, was delighted to get his Asian Tour career back on track after losing his Tour card two seasons ago.
“This is a second chance for me. I feel really good getting back to where I belong after missing out on the card for two years. I’m looking forward to get back on the Asian Tour. The ADT has been a great platform for me to sharpen my game,” said Steel.
Steel, who claimed two consecutive wins on the ADT in 2013, claimed third place on the Order of Merit with total earnings of US$37,135 while Renolds settled for fourth with US$35,975.
It has been a nervous week for Renolds, who carded a final round 74 to tie for 25th position. He could have missed the Asian Tour card for the second consecutive year if Jackson had won this week.
“It was a really close one for me. I am just glad I managed to keep my card. The ADT has served as a platform for me to practice my game. I had a great experience playing on the ADT for the last two years,” said the Canadian, who enjoyed a relatively good season with seven top-10 finishes to get to where he is on the merit list despite not claiming any wins.
The ADT was launched in 2010 with five tournaments before growing to eight in 2011 and 13 in 2012. This week’s final event was the 16th leg of the season.

George Gandranata Maintains Share Of Lead At Jakarta Invitational
Jakarta, January 10 - Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert charged into the lead with overnight leader George Gandranata after posting a third round one-under-par 70 at the inaugural Linc Group Jakarta Invitational on Friday.
Pavit compiled a three-day total of eight-under-par 205 to tie with Gandranata, who returned with a 71, at the US$60,000 event, which is the season finale for the 2013 Asian Development Tour (ADT) schedule.
The leading duo hold a three-shot lead over ADT winners Mitsuhiko Hashizume of Japan and England’s Grant Jackson, who shared third place after signing for rounds of 67 and 70 respectively at the Jababeka Golf and Country Club.
Ranked fifth on the ADT Order of Merit, Jackson will need to win this week to break inside the top-four on the final Merit list to earn a 2014 Asian Tour card. He is a mere US$9,000 from third placed Iain Steel and US$8,000 from fourth placed Lindsay Renolds of Canada on the Order of Merit.
With Steel and Renolds currently placed tied-35th and tied-25th respectively at the Linc Group Jakarta Invitational, Jackson have a strong opportunity to overtake them on the Merit ranking if he wins this week.
James Bowen of the United States, ranked second on the Order of Merit, has virtually sealed his Asian Tour card for next season as he sits in tied-eight place after three days.
Indonesia's top-ranked player Rory Hie (71) lost a place and is currently in 7th place, while William Sjaichudin (71) gained 2 places to tenth. Best amateur remains Jordan Irawan (74), though he had to concede 4 places and dropped out of the top ten to a tie of 13th.
Pavit, who marked his card with four birdies against three bogeys, was red hot off the tees as he battled his way into contention.
“My driving was good but I didn’t perform well with my irons. I’m very excited about tomorrow. I will definitely try my best and we will see how it goes,” said the 24-year-old Thai.
Gandranata, who held the lead since the first round, continued to stay in prime position of winning his very first ADT title despite making his first bogey of the week on par-four 10th hole.
“I made a lot of good putts for par. I guess that’s what kept me going today. Ball striking was not my best and the pin positions were tough as well. Hopefully my ball striking will be good tomorrow. I’m just going to play one shot at a time and not think too much about winning. I look forward to playing with Pavit again tomorrow. He is a good player,” said the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile Jackson will go all out to try and win the event as he trails the leaders by three shots. “I’m feeling good with how I’ve played so far. I try not to worry about how the others are doing. I just want to concentrate on my own game. I think that will be good enough,” said the Englishman, who had signed for the day’s lowest score.
Currently third on the Order of Merit, Steel knows a good finish this week will boost his rankings and put him a step closer to earning an Asian Tour card for 2014.
“My game is getting a bit rusty actually as I’ve not played for almost three weeks but I didn’t expect myself to finish so close to the cut-off line yesterday. My back pain was acting up as well. I kind of worked on my mental game a bit and I’m glad I played better today. I was more patient,” said Steel, who claimed two consecutive wins on the ADT in 2013.
“Regaining my Asian Tour card for 2014 has obviously been the topic this week but I just want to focus on my own game right now and not think about others. Hopefully I can finish well tomorrow to maintain my ranking on the merit list,” added the 42-year-old Malaysian.
With current number one Nicholas Fung of Malaysia having already secured his Asian Tour card through the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit, the next best three players on the ADT rankings will be ‘promoted’ after this week’s final tournament.
The winner of the Linc Group Jakarta Invitational will take home a prize purse of US$10,500 and receive six Official World Golf Ranking points. The top six players and ties will also earn points based on a sliding scale.

George Gandranata Holds On To Top Spot, Jordan Irawan Breaks Top Ten At Jakarta Invitational
Jakarta, January 9 - Overnight leader George Gandranata of Indonesia hogged the limelight for the second day after shooting a flawless three-under-par 68 to lead at the halfway stage of the inaugural Linc Group Jakarta Invitational on Thursday.
The promising talent totaled eight-under-par 134 for a one-shot lead over Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert, who returned with the day’s lowest score of 66, at the US$60,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event, which is the season finale for the 2013 ADT schedule.
Australian Jack Munro and Japanese Mitushiko Hashizume posted identical 70s to share third place while Chinese Taipei’s Chan Shih-chang battled to a 68 for fourth at the Jababeka Golf and Country Club.
England’s Grant Jackson, who is fighting to get into top four on the ADT Order of Merit to earn his 2014 Asian Tour card, signed for a 72 to tie for sixth alongside Indonesia’s highest ranked golfer, Rory Hie on 141.
Two more Indonesians are currently in the top ten with Maan Nassim 8th at even par while amateur Jordan Irawan moves up to a tie for 9th at 1-over.
James Bowen of the United States, Malaysia’s Iain Steel and Canadian Lindsay Renolds, who are fighting to earn an Asian Tour card by finishing as the top-four players on the 2013 ADT Order of Merit, were placed in tied-ninth, tied-34th and tied-42nd respectively.
The 27-year-old Gandranata was delighted to stay on track for his first ADT victory after shooting three birdies.

“I didn’t hit it as well as I did yesterday but I had a good start. I am pretty pleased with my game today. The course is not playing easy. A mistake out there can change anything. I’ve got a plan on how to attack this golf course. I’ll stick to it for the next two rounds and we will see how it goes,” said Gandranata, who has been playing on the ADT regularly since turning professional in 2012.
Meanwhile Pavit charged into contention after chipping in for eagle from 84 yards on the 16th hole to stay one shot back from the leader.
“I felt like I was on fire after that eagle and I moved on to make a birdie on the 17th,” said smiled the 24-year-old Thai, who claimed three top-five finishes on the ADT in 2013.
“The weather is hot and the greens are tough out there. I had to work on my mental game. My season was not bad last year. The three top-five finishes gave me a lot of confidence in my game,” added Pavit.
Renolds, ranked fourth on the Order of Merit, hopes to overcome a nerve-wracking week as Jackson could very well overtake him on the Merit list should the Englishman win this week.
“To be honest, I’m playing terrible. I really need to get my form going right now. We still have two days to go so hopefully I can turn things around. I would be lying to you if I say I’m not thinking about keeping my Asian Tour card for 2014. Grant (Jackson) is playing very well. Hopefully I can put something together,” said the Phuket-based Renolds, who has eight top-10 finishes on the ADT in 2013.
The halfway cut was set at 12-over-par 154 with 58 players advancing to the final two rounds.
The ADT was launched in 2010 with five tournaments before growing to eight in 2011 and 13 in 2012. This week’s final event will be the 16th leg of the season.

Disaster Hits For Rory Hie In Final Round Of Indonesia Open At Pantai Indah Kapuk
Jakarta, December 1 - Gaganjeet Bhullar dominated the Indonesia Open after shooting a flawless three-under-par 68 to win his first Asian Tour title in 2013 by three shots on Sunday.
The talented Indian opened with 10 straight pars but displayed a gutsy back nine performance highlighted by three birdies to complete a sensational wire-to-wire triumph at the US$750,000 Asian Tour event.
Malaysian rising star Nicholas Fung contended for the title before finishing tied second on 66 with Chapchai Nirat of Thailand, who shot two eagles today, at the Pantai Indah Kapuk Course at Damai Indah Golf.
Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh ended his campaign with a 67 in solo fourth on 272 while Jyoti Randhawa (69) of India was a further shot back. Young Thai Jazz Janewattananond, the co-leader at the start of the day, returned with a disappointing 74 to finish tied sixth, but the 18-year-old earned plaudits by the Asian Tour stars for his battling performance.
The final round ended in a disaster for Indonesia's top player Rory Hie, who saw a good placement and securing his tour card for next year disappear after finishing the round in 8 over par. A double bogey on 8 and triple bogey on 9 contributed to a dismal 6-over on the front 9 alone, and his inability to score a birdie on the final day meant he dropped from a share of 5th to a very disappointing tie for 41st. Indonesia's Jordan Irawan (74) was the best amateur in 65th place, in front of Maan Nasim (73) in 71st, while the other amateurs William Sjaichudin (77) and Tirto Tamardi (76) closed the field in 73rd and 74th respectively.
At the end of 18 holes, it was Bhullar who was the last man standing. He got off to a slow start but picked up pace when the field, which included a fast charging Siddikur, Jazz and Fung, edged closer and threatened to overtake him.
A birdie on 11 was the turning point in his round which led to two more birdies on holes 13 and 14. His momentum came to halt when inclement weather suspended play for over an hour but he returned with four pars to clinch his fifth Asian Tour title.
"I gave myself a lot of opportunities in the first nine holes but I misjudged my yardages on a few holes. Apart from that, there was no difference in my strategy. Winning takes a lot of patience. I'm glad I stayed patient and showed a lot of confidence."
"It was kind of difficult for me when play was suspended. I find it hard to go back to my momentum. But I guess these kind of scenarios are common in Asia. We just have to accept it as it is," said Bhullar, who took home the winner's prize purse of US$135,000.
The victory was also a welcome return to form for the Indian who struggled in the last six months and finished last at the World Cup of Golf in Australia last week.
"I haven't had much success this season but I know my game was up there and winning is just a matter of time. I waited so long for my fifth win and this is my 10th consecutive event. Mentally, I was exhausted but Indonesia is one of my favourite cities as I won my first title on the Asian Tour here," said Bhullar.
The bespectacled Fung turned in 32 to raise his hopes of winning his first Asian Tour title before running out of holes. The 23-year-old settled for tied-second, which is his best Asian Tour result since finishing tied fifth in Manila two weeks ago.
Despite his defeat, Fung held his head high after a worthy performance that was highlighted by a superb 30-yard bunker shot from the edge of the 17th green which resulted in a two feet birdie.
"I'm extremely happy with my performance this week. It's really good to see my name up on the leaderboard amongst the other experienced players," said the Fung, hailed as one of the most talented players from Malaysia.
"During the rain suspension, I checked my phone and was overwhelmed with tons of messages from my friends and family, as well as my supporters. I felt really encouraged and I'm glad I didn't disappoint them," he smiled.
Chapchai, a three-time Asian Tour winner, remains confident that he still has what it takes to end a four-year title drought on the region's premier Tour which is celebrating its 10th season in 2013. His runner-up finish was his best result this year.
"I'm very happy with my round. I'm very hungry for a victory. I'm getting closer to it. I can really feel it. The win is coming soon."
"I made a few mistakes after my first eagle and I was so angry with myself. I gave my tee shot on the 17th hole a 100% effort and my seven iron approach landed 20 feet from the hole. I had a lot of time to think about that putt during the weather delay and made it when play resumed," smiled Chapchai.
The 39th edition of Indonesia's national championship, which has a rich and illustrious history dating back to its first edition in 1974, is the nation's oldest golf tournament.

Hie In Contention At Indonesia Open
Jakarta, November 30 - Rory Hie kept up his hopes of winning the prestigious Indonesia Open title when he shot a three-under-par 68 to trail co-leaders Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand by four shots on Saturday.
The local star marked his card with five birdies against two bogeys for a three-day total of nine-under-par 204 to share fifth place with India’s Jyoti Randhawa, who returned with the day’s lowest score of 65, and Thailand’s Prom Meesawat (71) at the Pantai Indah Kapuk course at the Damai Indah Golf.
Hie, who capped two top-20 finishes on the Asian Tour this year, was delighted to put himself in a strong position to seal a dream victory in his National Open.
“It was exactly what I was looking for. I think I made up some ground to give myself a better chance going into the last round. That’s all I can ask for which is to get a chance to win my national Open,” said the 25-year-old Hie.
“I feel like I want to win more than anyone out there in the field because it is my National Open. I felt like I’ve taken another step in my mental approach to the game this week. There were times when I felt like it is getting away from me but I kept reminding myself to keep playing and keep going. Hopefully I can win tomorrow,” he added.
Hie was also proud with the performance of three local amateurs, Jordan Irawan (74), William Sjaichudin (75) and Tirto Tamardi (79), who made the halfway cut and is currently ranked in 60th, 69th and 74th position respectively.
“It is good news to see three amateurs made the cut because it shows that Indonesian juniors are playing well and growing as a nation in golf. Hopefully we will see more good players come out,” added the local talent.
Currently 89th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, Hie will be aiming for a good finish to boost his rankings on the Order of Merit as the top-60 players at the end of the season will earn full play rights on the Asian Tour.

Local Hero Hie Gets Off To Solid Start
Jakarta, November 28 - Rory Hie of Indonesia turned the pressure of playing on home soil into his advantage when he signed for an opening three-under-par 68 at the US$750,000 Indonesia Open on Thursday.
Hie marked his card with one eagle, three birdies and two bogeys to stay four shots back from the first round leader Gaganjeet Bhullar of India, who leads on 64 at the Pantai Indah Kapuk course at the Damai Indah Golf.
The talented Indonesian was tied in 14th position alongside Singaporean Mardan Mamat, Zaw Moe of Myanmar, Kim Gi-whan of Korea, Chan Kim of the United States, Carlos Pigem of Spain, Lionel Weber of France and Chris Rodgers of England.
Currently 89th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, Hie will be looking for a good finish this week to boost his rankings as the top-60 players at the end of this season will earn full playing rights on the Asian Tour next year.
The local talent, who capped two top-20 finishes on the Asian Tour this year, soared up the leaderboard when he chipped in for eagle from 120 yards on the 16th hole.
“It was a solid round. It was fun playing with Daniel (Chopra) and Shiv (Kapur). They are both very good players. We were all playing very well. The course is in a really good condition out there,” said Hie.
As much as he hopes to make his nation proud, he is determined not to let the pressure get to him.
“There are obviously more pressure on me this week but I think that helps me to play well as compared to any other week. I was really happy with my eagle on 16. I hit a really good shot and that was pretty amazing,” said the 25-year-old, who chipped in the eagle from about 120 yards on the 16th hole.
Local amateur Jordan Irawan signed for a 70 to take a share of 30th place while another four Indonesians including Andik Mauludin and George Gandranata returned with matching 71s to tie at 43rd.
The 39th edition of Indonesia’s national championship, which has a rich and illustrious history dating back to its first edition in 1974, is the nation’s oldest golf tournament.

Gandranata Drops, Hie Rises In Final Round Of Jakarta Classic At Imperial Klub Golf
Jakarta, July 20 - James Bowen of the United States savored a memorable week when he posted a final round two-under-par 70 to claim his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title at the inaugural Jakarta Classic on Saturday.
The American totaled 12-under-par 276 to edge out Chinese Taipei’s Chan Shih-chang by two shots despite making bogeys on the second and 14th holes at the Imperial Klub Golf.
Chan, who was the first round leader, mixed his card with six birdies and two bogeys to settle for second place while Australian Darren Tan recorded a 71 for third place finish at the US$60,000 ADT event.
England’s Grant Jackson, a one-time winner on the ADT, and Malaysia’s Arie Fauzi took a share of fourth place after posting scores of 70 and 72 respectively at the Jakarta Classic, which is the seventh leg on the ADT schedule this season.
Best Indonesian player was Rory Hie, who finished in a tie for 7th place after a final round 70. Andik Mauludin (71) finished 3 shots further back in a tie for 12th, one shot ahead of Benny Kasiadi (72) who's in a tie for 15th. George Gandranata (77), who was in 7th place after round 3 dropped to a tie for 22nd after making more bogeys in his final round than the first rounds combined.
Bowen has been in commanding form all week since he took over the lead from Chan after the second round.
“I’m feeling great. Winning two professional titles in a year is a great accomplishment for me. It really means a great deal to me. I feel like my hard work is finally paying off,” said the 27-year-old, who traded four birdies and two bogeys.
“I had a great boost in confidence and I’m very excited about the remaining season ahead. It would be great if I can win again before the season ends,” added Bowen, who is hoping to earn his Asian Tour card for 2014 by finishing top three on the ADT Order of Merit at the end of the season.
Bowen, who earned US$10,500 for his victory, will take over the lead on the ADT Order of Merit from Malaysia’s Nicolas Fung.
The American will also receive six Official World Golf Ranking points courtesy of his triumph this week.
Meanwhile, Chan could not help but feel disappointed about missing out on his maiden ADT win after posting a brilliant final round 68.
However, he is still optimistic and confident of doing better in the remaining season ahead.

I will continue to work hard and hopefully I can play better next time!” said Chan, who topped his country’s Order of Merit in 2010.
The top three players to finish on the ADT Order of Merit will earn their Asian Tour cards for 2014.
Starting this season, all ADT events will receive Official World Golf Ranking points which will help players qualify for the World Cup of Golf in November and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Winners on the ADT will receive a minimum of six world ranking points while the top six players and ties will earn points based on a sliding scale.

Gandranata On A Charge In Jakarta Classic At Imperial Klub Golf
Jakarta, July 19 - James Bowen of the United States cemented his lead atop the leaderboard when he carded a third round two-under-par 70 to extend his advantage to three at the inaugural Jakarta Classic on Friday.
Bowen, who held the overnight lead, compiled a three-day total of 10-under-par 206 to enjoy a three-shot cushion over Australian Darren Tan and Arie Fauzi of Malaysia as he heads into the final round at the Imperial Klub Golf.
Tan and Arie, who recently turned professional in April, signed for matching 209s to take a share of second place while Chinese Taipei’s Chan Shih-chang, who was leading after the first day, carded a 70 to take fourth place.
England’s Grant Jackson slipped three places from second to fifth when he returned with a 73 at the US$60,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event.
George Gandranata, who is currently the highest placed Indonesian on the ADT Order of Merit, is looking to solidify this position after climbing 15 places to 7th place with a round of 68. One shot further back is Rory Hie who put in a solid 71. Four more Indonesians are in the top 25, with Maan Nasim (70), Benny Kasiadi (74) and Andik Mauludin (74) in a share of 16th and Ade Sebul (74) in a share of 24th place.
Bowen, who is currently second on the ADT Order of Merit, was delighted with his commanding performance which he described as a huge confidence booster.
“I’m glad I gave myself a lot of chances today. I didn’t make any mistakes today and I had a bogey-free round which was a huge confidence boost for me,” said Bowen.
“I hope I can enjoy a solid round again tomorrow. I will try and stick to my original game plan and we will see what happens,” added the 27-year-old.
Having claimed his maiden ADT breakthrough earlier this year, the American remains on course to seal his second title and potentially a spot on the region’s premier Tour at the end of the season.
The top three players to finish on the ADT Order of Merit will earn their Asian Tour cards for 2014.
Meanwhile Tan credited his recent good form for giving him the honor of recording the day’s lowest score of 67.
“I think I’ve just had my best ball-striking round today. I played my wedge shots well too. I’m really happy with my game. Hopefully, I can hole more putts tomorrow,” said Darren, who marked his blemish-free card with five birdies.
Tan once hogged the spotlight on the Asian Tour when he won a Kia Optima K5 after carding a hole-in-one during the second round of ISPS Handa Singapore Classic in 2012.

16 Local Players Challenge For Top Spots In Jakarta Classic At Imperial Klub Golf
Jakarta, July 18 - American James Bowen posted a second round six-under-par 66 to move atop the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the inaugural Jakarta Classic on Thursday.
The 27-year-old, who opened his campaign with a 70, fired seven birdies against one bogey to lead the field with a two-day total of eight-under-par 136 at the Imperial Klub Golf.
England’s Grant Jackson, who returned with the day’s lowest score of 65, trailed the American by two shots to take second place while Singapore’s Koh Deng Shan and overnight leader, Chan Shih-chang of Chinese Taipei shared third place after signing for matching 140s at the US$60,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event.
Johannes Dermawan, who was in second place after the 1st round, dropped to 22nd after a somewhat disappointing 77 today. Best of the local boys are now Andik Mauludin and Benny Kasiadi, who are in a share of 10th place with 142, with Rory Hie, Indonesia's top ranked player, one shot further back.
“I made a lot of putts today and I drove the ball pretty well. There was no wind in the morning and the course was kind of wet but overall, it was in a good shape. I’m really pleased with the way I putted today,” said a delighted Bowen, who stayed on track for his second ADT win after claiming his breakthrough in Malaysia earlier this year.
“The season has been great for me so far. I’ve been in contention several times this year and my golf game has been pretty consistent. I think this has got to be the best season that I’ve had so far,” added the American.
Meanwhile Jackson, who clinched his first ADT victory in Malaysia in April, is pleased with his recent good run of form.
The Englishman is targeting a top-three finish on the ADT Order of Merit at the end of the season as that would allow him to earn his Asian Tour card for 2014.
“I gave myself some chances and I played nicely today. The greens were tricky and the course was wet. I actually felt like I was playing on a different course as compared to yesterday!” said Jackson, who mixed his card with seven birdies, one eagle and two bogeys.
“I’m very excited about my weekend rounds. I think it’s going to be very interesting! I’ll try to enjoy myself out there and hopefully I can continue to play solid over the next two days,” smiled Jackson.
The halfway cut was set at five-over-par with 57 players, including 16 Indonesians, advancing to the final two rounds.
