Bali Golf & Country Club Closes For Major Renovation

In a short period of time Bali Golf & Country Club will be celebrating the conclusion of 21 years of operations , having opened on March 4, 1991.
Anywhere in the world golf courses with such a heritage begin to require some redesign and modernization and Bali Golf & Country Club is not exempt from those needs.

As part of an overall redevelopment plan to rename the property as the Bali National Golf Resort, the first phase of the redevelopment plan will be major renovations to the golf course, which will be increased in length from the tournament tees to 7,200+ yards, together with new green's complexes on all holes and new club facilities, which will enhance the golfing experience for all resort guests.

These renovations mean the golf course must be closed for a period of time, so as to enable the upgrading of the golf course, together with the new clubhouse, which will result in Bali's best located and favorite golf resort, being of the 5 star standards expected of the best golf courses in both Asia and the World today.

Because of this effective February 16, 2012 Bali Golf & Country Club, Nusa Dua will be closed until further notice.

All golfers will be welcomed back on the greens and fairways of Bali National Golf Resort in early 2013.

2011 Ancora Family And Friends Christmas Golf Day

On Sunday 11 December 2011, Ancora Golf Institute and Bali Golf and Country Club organize the 2011 Ancora Family and Friends Christmas Golf Day.
This 4 person scramble event is in a 4 person best ball format over 9 holes. Each team should have minimum 3 people - 1 adult and 2 kids.
Registration fee is Rp 995,000 per team.
Under 10 and Ladies tee off from the Red Tees, 11 and over from the White Tees.

The activities start at 13.00 with Tee Off at 14.30:

UNICEF Challenge Golf Tournament

The St. Regis Bali Resort and The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali have partnered with Bali Golf & Country Club to present this first ever, first class charity golf event on the island which will take place on 29 October 2011, commencing at 06.30am.

This is to raise additional funds to support Check Out For Children™. An alliance between Starwood Hotels & Resorts and UNICEF, the initiative raises monies through an additional US$1 (or its equivalent in another currency) which is included in the room bill of each guest and this has helped immunize over one million children in underdeveloped countries since 1995.

Golfers will begin the day early and be treated to a delightful breakfast with Champagne at Arwana of The Laguna Nusa Dua, after which they will be transferred to the green fairways to take their first shot gun swing at 07.30am.
