Seoul / Pattaya, 11 May 2012 - Rory Hie, Indonesia PGA's Player of the Year 2011, missed the cut playing at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship at Namseoul Country Club in the South Korean capital Seoul.
With rounds of 77 and 72 he was in a tied 104st place, 12 shots behind second day leader Park Sang-hyun in this third leg of the OneAsia tour.
Rory, who had a strong season in 2011, seems to be struggling this year with his form. Finishing a somewhat disappointing 9th in the Indonesia Open after his strong performance the previous year, he now failed the make the cut for the second time in a row.
The next leg of the OneAsia tour will be next weekend with the SK Telecom Open played at the Pinx Golf Club in Jeju.
Meanwhile in Pattaya, Thailand, Benny Kasiadi also missed the cut at the Singha Pattaya Open, the second leg of the ASEAN PGA Tour played at the Burapha Golf Club.
The only Indonesian player entered in this tournament, ended with rounds of 76 and 77 in a tied 86th place, 17 shots behind midway leader Thanyakon Khrongpha from Thailand.
