KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesia’s Joshua Andrew Wirawan shot a par 72 to take second place in the Boy’s Under-18 and overall categories of the 100Plus Malaysian Junior Open held at the Saujana Golf and Country Club in Subang, yesterday. He's three shots behind Malaysia's Jeremiah Kim, who shot an impressive three-under-par 69, and another three strokes ahead of another Indonesian player, Kow Eiki.
In the Girl’s category, Dottie Ardina of the Philippines fired a sizzling five-under-par 67 to lead the Girl’s Under-18 and overall competitions.
In the team event, India led with a score of 150 points while Malaysia and Indonesia are in second and third position with 152 and 158 points respectively.
Malaysia make up the largest contingent at this year’s competition with 72 participants, followed by Singapore (18), Indonesia (9), Philippines (6), India (5), Bangladesh (3), Taiwan (3), Sri Lanka (2), South Korea (2), Mynmar (2), England (1) and Japan (1).
