January 26, Jakarta: Ian Woosnam and Michael Campbell have confirmed their participation in Indonesia's most prestigious golf tournament, the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS in April.

The confirmation of the Major winners comes as Metro TV signs on as the Local Broadcast Partner, Linc Group as Main Partner and Hush Puppies Golf as Official Apparel to the event.

The early confirmation of Woosnam and Campbell is a huge boost for the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS with Lee Westwood and Thongchai Jaidee also set to grace the fairways of Royale Jakarta Golf Club from April 19-22, 2012.

Westwood claimed a memorable victory in the inaugural edition on the Asian Tour last year which coincided with his 38th birthday and a return to the world's number one position, albeit briefly.

“I am looking forward to playing in the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS. It will be great to be able to play amongst some of Asia’s best and experience this event which made so much noise on the world golf scene last year," said Woosnam, who was one of the "Big Five" generation of European golfers and won the US Masters in 1991.

“Indonesia has been good to me in the past. I won the Alfred Dunhill tournament there in 1995 and I am excited to get back and play in the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS, which looks like a well organised and world-class tournament,” added 2005 US Open Champion, Michael Campbell.

The addition of Indonesia’s premier News Channel, Metro TV to the family of partners enhances the already strong media platform that the Indonesian Masters has to offer. Metro TV will be broadcasting the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS for 10 hours Live and will also be airing additional shows and features related to the event and the positive impact it has on the economy of Indonesia.

Through this new partnership, sponsors and partners can enjoy not only a strong local media platform but also Asian Tour’s global television platform, which reaches out to over 200 countries and 850 million households..

The signing of Linc Group as a main partner and Hush Puppies Golf as official apparel to the event strengthens the message that the Indonesian Masters presented by PNTS continues to be an attractive investment for companies ready to support golf in the country. Other partners include BMW (Official Car), Coca-Cola (Official Drinks Partner), Garuda Indonesia (Official Airline), Thiess Indonesia (Main Partner), Navigat Energy (Main Partner) and San Miguel (Official Beer).

Organisers have also started initiatives to develop the game at the grassroot level with the launch of the Indonesian Masters Amateur League. Participants are required to complete a minimum of 3 rounds at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on any Tuesday or Wednesday between now and March 31st and they will be ranked with their average score in an Order of Merit featured on the Indonesian Masters website, www.indonesianmasters.com . The winner of this Order of Merit will win a spot to play in the tournament proper.

A Junior development program is also being conducted on a monthly basis organised by the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI), giving opportunities to the youths of the nation to participate in the Indonesian Masters activities.
